Noise Marine Band

      by Darryl Trainor

Brother Sneider , Champion of Slaanesh and leader of this small band of Noise Marines, stood surveying the battlefield, beating time with a ceramite clad fist on thigh. His gaze took in the flash of laserfire from the Imperial Guardsmen hunkering behind the walls ahead of him, trying to keep the Berserkers pinned enough that they couldn't reach them. All around the noise and fury of the battle raged , weapons fire and screams making a joyfull tune.
Turning to the rest of the band he growled "Let's ROCK". The other four Marines began furiously playing their modified sonic blasters, insanely loud and compelling music erupting onto the field. The stream of fire decreased around them, then halted, as more and more fell under the spell of the music. Then with a massed roar the Guardsmen abandoned their cover and raced towards the Berserkers, their faces strangely contorted. The Berserkers too were equally enraged, charging forwards twice as fast as any normal man could run.
The two groups met with a crash, the sound of the Berserkers chainaxes and swords buzzing loudly, muting as they tore into the flesh of the Guardsmen. Overlaid on all the screams and thuds were the haunting rifts coming from the Noise Marines, Brother Sneider screaming his song of hate, of rending and tearing, of death.
No match for the enraged Berserkers, the Guardsmen fell in moments, their superior numbers little help against the Berserkers martial prowess. Sneider watched the Berserker Champion, his movements an exquisite dance of death as he spun full circle, his chainsword removing one Guardsmans head from his shoulders, lashing a kick into a second that droped the man, chest crushed, almost 10 feet away.
Seeing this small piece of resistance ended, Sneider signaled the others to stop, and they loped off across the battlefield, seeking a new audience for their warped music.

      End.
